Dr. Marta Garcia Flores MRCVS

Dr. Marta graduated from the USC in Spain in 2015. Even before graduation, she had trained and kept a good friendship with cardiologist Dr. T. Marco Valero back in their hometown of Gandia. After an internship in the university hospital Rof Codina back in 2017, she moved to the UK where she started working exclusively with small animals and focusing her interest on ultrasound and cardiology.

She is currently halfway through the completion of her certificate in advanced practices in cardiology by the University of Liverpool and intends to continue her formation further working towards a Masters of Research.

Her passion for the profession of veterinary medicine started when she was only a child, with a vocation to help animals in distress, while her passion for imaging and cardiology was instilled by her by her friend Dr. Marco, and her teachers at USC.

Her love for the animals inspired her to create a service that helps keep pets healthy in a low-stress environment such as their homes or the vets they are already used to. Alongside her partner, she created Roberton VetEcho Mobile services to provide affordable, advanced imaging for owners and veterinary first-opinion practices.

Director James Hepburn

James is a cybersecurity specialist, with a background in technology and business and the partner of Dr. Garcia. Even though he has never worked in the veterinary field, his love for animals is unquestionable, and he wanted to help his partner achieve her vision with the creation of the company and running the tech side to make Roberton VetEcho Mobile services on the vanguard of the technological advances in the field. It is thanks to him that our equipment operates with the latest systems and we can provide detailed digital reports for our patient's health records.

Our mission and compromise

"I have worked as a general practitioner for almost 9 years now, after finishing my internship in a large referral university hospital. Through those years I have worked for smaller, independent practices, as well as larger corporates and even for the charity PDSA and I have first-hand experienced the struggles that general practitioners can face when it comes to achieving definitive diagnosis where advanced imaging is required but out of reach for our patients. Is my hope that I can provide a set cost service that, though not yet at the level of advanced practitioners or specialists, can aid with the needs of first opinion practices when the other options are not realistic for the owners.

Besides being a vet, I am also an owner. I have 3 cats and 1 dog, who don't enjoy going to the vet. I have seen first-hand the stress that testing can cause for some animals, even something as pain-free and non-invasive as a scan can feel like torture for an animal that does not like to be in the practice or to be restrained by someone outside their family. That is why I have decided to also provide (within reason) home services, to aid those pets who otherwise would not be able to get a proper diagnosis without sedation that may worsen their condition."
